Finlay, the world leader in mobile crushers and screens, unveiled the new electric versions of the I-120RS impact crusher and the 883+ heavy-duty screen at Hillhead 2024.

“We were delighted to unveil our new electric range at Hillhead,” said Matt Dickson, Business Line Director at Finlay. “The features built into these electric machines will enable our customers to meet their sustainability targets, whilst retaining the manoeuvrability and ease of use that characterise our equipment. ”
This move towards electrification is part of an ongoing commitment to offering more environmentally friendly solutions, without compromising on performance or reliability.
During development, particular attention was paid to the flexibility of the mobile machines. This means they can be moved easily around the site. The electric versions of the I-120RS and the 883+ are fitted with a motor dedicated to their mobility, whilst all operational components — notably the feeder, the crushing chamber, the screening box and the conveyors — are electrically driven.
“By opting for electric mobile crushing and screening equipment, customers benefit not only from environmental advantages, but also from financial and operational benefits,” concludes Luc Van Laecke, founder of the Van Laecke Group.
“This transition also helps safeguard their investments as the sector moves towards more sustainable practices. It is therefore both a responsible and forward-looking choice.”
The electric Finlay I-120RS offers all the flexibility of a mobile crushing and screening plant. Its innovative, quickly removable two-deck screen, measuring 3.66 m x 1.53 m, guarantees a high-quality end product. For applications that do not require material recirculation for further processing or storage, the entire screening and recirculation system can be quickly detached from the machine.
The electric Finlay 883+ is a heavy-duty screen designed for primary and secondary screening applications, particularly in quarries, construction and demolition waste, sand, gravel, compost and coal.
